In normal years, the ag company held its annual Northwest Territorial Days Exhibition. The event was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 regulations. While the province lifted restrictions in July 2021, there was insufficient time to plan a full exhibition this year.
However, Ritchie was pleased with the result and thanked all sponsors for their support.
The Northwest Territorial Days Parade on August 16 went well.
“The parade was very well attended and we are very happy,” she said. “Although we had a third of what we normally have for submissions. Some of the people we had tried very hard to make very nice entries for us. ”
The Light Horse Show on August 21st was well attended.
“We had a couple of horses and the show went really well,” said Ritchie. “Everyone was happy to be able to take part in the competitions because it has been a few years for many of these people.”
Shortly
The local agricultural society is planning several events starting this fall.
“We’re going through full. Hopefully everything stays open and we can just get on with our events, ”said Ritchie.
The organizers are planning a demo derby on the exhibition grounds on September 11th.
“It’s going to be great fun and exciting to see,” said Ritchie.
The event also includes barrel racing and mini cars.
Then, on September 18th, the company will hold a community garage sale at the Agriplex. People are asked to call ahead to reserve their table.
Oktoberfest is planned for October 2nd with German cuisine, entertainment and interactive games. Tickets will be available shortly.
“We have partnered with Rotary for a number of years,” said Ritchie. “It’s a really nice evening that is a lot of fun. I invite everyone to come for it too. “
Then, before Christmas on November 6th and 7th, the mistletoe craft and gift sales are planned.
