Highland Rocker was a winning nap for David Ord on Sunday and Ben Linfoot has a bet for every Bank Holiday Monday meeting in the UK with the best bet in Epsom.

GREAT SCORING – 3.45 Epsom (NAP)

Archie Watson and Simon Walker can team up GREAT VALUE to land the derby handicap of the amateurs in Epsom on bank holiday Monday.

The former Godolphin striker returned in good shape from a break earlier in the year, winning at Kempton and Lingfield before losing form a little in May and June.

He lost 7 pounds to an 86 mark after the bad run, however, and he looks well treated now considering he gained 2 pounds more at Lingfield in March.

Refreshed after a two month hiatus, it looks like Watson Walker has booked, a top amateur who has won this race in two of the last three years, and he could take the run of the race on this pacesetter.

Dubawi offspring have an excellent record in Epsom (22 out of 89 24.72% in the last ten years) so he seems worth a try, only making his third lawn start.

GOLDEN AGE – 2.40 Wolverhampton

Sky Blue Thinking is likely to be the favorite as she looks to score a hat trick in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap second division in Wolverhampton.

However, there might be some value in taking them with you GOLDEN AGE who gets a 12-pound pull on the weights last time after a seven-quarter long loss to aforementioned rivals at Chelmsford.

There were some promises in Golden Age’s run and if he settles in better in the early stages, he has a much better chance of reversing that shape than the likelihood of the tissue suggests.

WUDASHUDACUDA – 2.50 Chepstow

WUDASHUDACUDA was only touched by a horse with a rich streak of form over the course and the distance last time and can improve one place at the It Pays To Buy Irish Handicap in Chepstow.

Russco completed a four-timer last week when he defeated Wudashudacuda on this route, but the pair were six lengths ahead of the rest and the selection runs right off the bat on Monday.

Airshow was in good shape in Bath but is now 7 pounds higher than when he finished second here in Chepstow in June and he may have to settle for the same position here behind Roger Teal’s horse.

GARDEN OASIS – 3.40 Ripon

Tim Easterby’s tough and consistent six year old GARDEN OASIS may land the Ripon Rowels Handicap on the North Yorkshire route under David Allan.

The Excelebration gelding has already won three times this summer but is only 5 pounds higher than the first win in June as he still ends his victories by a narrow margin.

He went out of his way to win 3 pounds less at this distance last time but was good value for his neck win that day and there could be a tactical replay.

Kettle Hill looks dangerous but the selection beat William Haggas’ horse in York in July and may confirm the form of 4 pounds worse conditions on a course that shows its strengths.

SOLAR PULSE – 4.45 Cartmel

The 11 year old veteran SOLAR IMPULSE still has it after his win in Perth last month and he can return to the Wicks Handicap Chase in Cartmel.

It’s been five years since he won the Grand Annual for Paul Nicholls at the Cheltenham Festival, but he loves life at Ian Williams after winning three of his last four starts this summer.

The second of these came in June on this route at £ 16 less, but his comfortable win over 130 in Perth doesn’t suggest a particularly tough job here at £ 7 more.

Tuesday afternoon nap

GNAT ALLEY – 2.00 Ripon (NAP)

Last but not least, some interesting youngsters are competing for the 21 Engineer Regiment Sapper Nursery Handicap in Ripon GNAT ALLEY for Tim Easterby and David Allan.

She’s done three qualifying runs and it was admittedly a bit mixed up to that point, but the mean performance in fourth against May Blossom in Beverley – only beaten two and a half lengths – was really promising and in that form she tantalizingly pulled off an initial score of 62 .

The last run at Pontefract is excusable as it was pulled too far and could never get into a position to strike. In that regard, she seems to have done a lot better here with stand 10 at the side rail of the grandstand, and moving up to the handicap ranks is expected to bring further improvement.

MR TAMBOURINE MAN – 5.45 Hexham

David Pipes MR. TAMBOURINE MAN were able to lead them all to a happy dance in the Follow At The Races On Twitter Handicap Hurdle in Hexham.

Galileo’s gelding son had a few low-key runs on the flat after his summer move from Ireland and made a pretty encouraging return to the wood (over the hurdles for the previous yard) finishing second in Worcester earlier this month.

He was never far off the pace and was sent home for the third time and held up really well, only losing to Our Colossus, who was the last to show a bit of momentum.

There was nothing wrong with the runner-up’s performance, and it looks like it’s up a half mile here. He can say goodbye to his Irish import colleague Henry Sellers, who came to Patrick Neville from Shane Crawley and is now wearing cheek pieces for the first time.

HEY TEACHER – 4:00 am Epsom

Andrew Baldings HEY TEACHER evaluates the best bet on the card at Epsom as he tries to underpin a ready beginner’s success in Harry Taylor’s 21st Birthday Handicap.

The three year old gelding – not yet ridden with two and still relatively tall and backward – has steadily improved with every start and landed properly thin odds (1/4 fav) at Ffos Las earlier this month and immediately out of a fairly weak field.

That takes more, but the assessor didn’t overdo it with an introductory grade of 70 and a good, prominent ride by the ardent Oisin Murphy might be enough to replace them, provided the horse masters the camber on the home stretch.

CUSIMANO SIZES – 6.30 Newton Abbot

Newton Abbots Talk Tidy Marketing Handicap Chase looks between Delight Of Dubai and SIZE CUSIMANO, with a preference for the latter.

He is back after a short break and was in really good shape last time, narrowly missing the hat trick when a small mistake on the last fence in Uttoxeter towards the end of July could have cost him.

He was still as good-looking as ever that day, down the necks of a six-year-old who gained more than a stone, and he seems worth another chance beyond his current 122 mark, by no means Soil for him taste.
