Due to the mask requirement and limited capacity in Northampton, Juke Joint Jazz has rescheduled its show from September 26th at the Iron Horse Music Hall to Sunday November 21st.

“We all hope that by then enough people will have been vaccinated and vaccinated so that the infection rates drop so that the show can take place under ‘normal’ circumstances,” said the band in an email. “In the meantime, please let yourself be poisoned and strengthened and stay safe and healthy!”

To minimize health risks, the Iron Horse and its sister venues – the Calvin Theater and Pearl Street Nightclub – also require proof of vaccination from guests, artists, staff, and crew prior to entering the venue.

According to a statement on the club’s website, efforts to contain COVID-19 include:

  • A physical CDC vaccination card or clear photo of that card showing evidence of a full COVID-19 vaccination (14 days or more after the last required vaccination) and government-issued photo ID. The vaccination requirement applies to all age groups, including children. If a child is too young to be vaccinated, they are too young to attend the show.
  • According to the Northampton Board of Health, masks are required at the venues at all times except when eating and drinking.

These requirements can be updated as circumstances change with local, state, and national guidelines.
