Monmouth Park in Oceanport, NJ, will be increasing wallets across the board starting July 17 and adding three live racing days on Fridays in September, Race Secretary and Race Director John Heims announced on Saturday.

The price increases will go into effect on the day of the $ 1 million TVG.com Haskell Stakes, the flagship race on the track.

The nowownow stakes for 2-year-olds who walk a mile on the turf will generate the biggest cash win, rising from $ 150,000 to $ 500,000. Named after the 2007 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner at Monmouth Park, the second edition of the Nownownow Stakes will be Closing Day on Sunday September 26th.

The original Monmouth Park schedule called for live races on Saturdays and Sundays only for the last three weekends in September. Friday day passes will now be added to these weekends.

Monmouth Park will host live racing Friday through Monday over Labor Day weekend September 3-6.

After a year-long hiatus due to COVID-19, the Monmouth-at-Meadowlands meeting will return in October with nine live whole blood cards.
