NAGROTA July 4th: The excitement in the village of Ragoora in Nagrota was great today when the President of the NC Province Devender Singh Rana opened the very first Rural Horse Show, which attracted large numbers of sports enthusiasts from the surrounding area.
The riders, riders from Amritsar, Ragoora and RS Pura took part in the event, which, among other activities, introduced horse racing and jumping that sparked the imagination of the audience.
It was an interesting event for a change, heard a lot but probably seen for the first time.
Ishaq Mohammed from Ragoora won the competition to the great applause of the sports enthusiasts, who cheered every performance of the horses overwhelmingly.

The provincial president presented Ishaq Mohammad (Noori) with a cash award of 11,000 rupees, 7,100 rupees to Ricky Manhas (Gudu) from Barnai Bantalab and 5,100 rupees to Gopee Singh from Amritsar. On this occasion, Mohammad Gulzar (Bijli) from RS Pura was also honored.
Celebrities among those present were Shafqat Watali (Retd IGP, Jagjeet Singh, Dy Commandant CRPF, Sashi Kant Yadav, Asstt Commandant, CRPF, SHO Baghebahu, Kirti Sharma, Hameed Choudhary, Sewa Ram, Bashir Kohli, Babu Ram and others.
At the beginning, the state president and the riders were introduced. As the event progressed, the enthusiastic audience gave a big applause to encourage the drivers to give their best in the first competition of its kind.
The dignitaries in attendance also praised the participating drivers and hoped they will make it big at future events.
