The STROUD Pony Club will host an open horse show at 40 Acre Lane, Lypiatt on Sunday September 12th to raise much-needed funds for the club.

Club Secretary Vicki Birtwhistle said, “Our shows, like our club, are always friendly and inviting, and this year we’re having a new breed of dog show with lots of fun classes including a ‘Musical Sit’ and ‘Best Sausage Catcher’.

“There is also a ‘Best Six Legs’ competition, in which the dog and handler ride a show jumping course together.

“In addition to the usual jumping competitions, there will also be some new classes: generation pairs, experienced riders and a five-spring challenge.

“There will be on-site catering as well as cake sales and a raffle with prizes like a Waitrose basket, vouchers for the Jolly Nice and vouchers for local meat from Bisley Lane Farm.

“This is also a great opportunity for potential new members to learn more about the Stroud Pony Club and to meet our members, parents and the committee.”
